BIG NEWS

First, I’d like to say thanks to all of you who have been following my blog since I started last year.  It’s been a humbling experience being able to share my thoughts on how to implement a minimalistic lifestyle through fashion, beauty, and home.  I wasn’t expecting much when I started this blog.

I just wanted to share something I was passionate about, and hoped someone would find my tips helpful for them.  The outpour of unexpected compliments I received has encouraged me to continue these blog posts.  So thank you so much for being my motivation!

I’ve realized that I want to change the focus of my content, since my true passion lies with everything related to the home.

My background is in real estate and interior design.  My dad was an award-winning general contractor, and my mom was a restaurateur who eventually quit to help my dad design, stage, and market to sell all of the luxury spec homes he built.  Growing up, I tagged along to help with the family business.  Starting at the young age of 5 or 6, I remember learning how to sweep the floors and seal tile grout.  Eventually, I was tasked with bigger projects like designing kitchen layouts, sourcing fixtures and being part of the negotiations as we bought & sold over 30 homes.  I grew to love designing homes and working in the real estate market so much that now, I am a commercial real estate manager by day & a homemaker/ DIY-er by night.

Without further adieu, I’d like to announce that I am looking forward to sharing my DIY journey of living well and creating a sustainable home.

On the blog, you’ll find helpful categories such as HOUSE TOUR, SHOP OUR HOUSE, DIY PROJECTS, INSPIRATION, and a section called SUSTAINABLE LIVING where I will talk about decluttering, organizing, and green products.

Enjoy!
