I'm not usually into wearing patterns. Ok, you caught me. I wear stripes. Lots of stripes. But stripes are different, and that's a whole other story. Since I'm only 5 foot 2, I feel like floral patterns consumes me and I'm like a walking floral bouquet.

This season, the floral dress is everywhere and I'm completely embracing this trend. I have found that the trick to picking a print that works for your body type is to match the size of the pattern to the your size. For instance, a petite girl should pick a smaller or subtle print. A curvier or more statuesque lady can get away with a bolder pattern.

I am breaking out this vintage silk Adriana Papell dress from the back of my closet for my cousin's upcoming wedding. The backless cut makes me feel like sultry, while the low neckline is nursing-friendly for my toddler Jace.

I'm keeping everything simple with a nude stiletto.
